Sofie So Cute

Sofie is getting to be a big girl!

Best Video

Okay, this video made me laugh until I cried. I found it on Youtube and it is of a little girl walking her dog (at Tibetan Terrier) in her baby stroller. This dog (booboo) is shaved like my poor baby Sofie was and looks particuarly annoyed with this. So funny.

Earth Day...Better Late Then Never

Earth Day... When I think of earth day, I think of my grandfather. There was never one more one with the garden, planting and growing things. I never met anyone else so self taught in the ways of growing things. He had a green thumb to say the least. I'm not sure when earth day was created but twenty years ago, in 1988, my grandfather died on april 22nd. Just a day shy of his birthday which was today April 23rd. It was a very sad day for my family, and still today we feel his absence.

His house on monticello had a vast garden, grape vines and tool sheds, today I probably live less than 1 mile from there, and I pass the house now and then...its just not the same...sadly. But I can think of no better way to remember my Grandfather on April 22nd then with Earth Day.

Wow

I am looking for a decorative {hence non working} chandelier for over my Jacuzzi spa bath tub. My goal is to make my master bath a relazing retreat with a little bit of style. I don't want to spend mucho buckos but I want it to look nice. I found in the new glamour mag an article where Ivanka Trump re-did a persons apt. with a great crystal chandelier from Great Chandeliers.com. She used a 5 light similar to the 2nd picture here. I really like that one the best, but since it won't actually light up i think a closed light one would work the best and #1 is the cheapest. I threw a target one in for fun, such a dissapointment. haha

What do you think?

Great Chandeliers.com: H.14 X W.8 -$56.49

Great Chandeliers.com: H.17" W.17 -$88.00

Target: 12in $79.99

The Biggest Lie Of All

The biggest lie of all is the ones we tell ourselves about ourselves. I have always found it painfuly uncomfortble to try to lie to myself. My mirror always gets me. If I can't be honest with myself, I'll never be honest with anyone else. So I maybe many things, but a liar I am not.

I also find it completely uncomforatable to be someones mama. I don't have children and I don't have teenagers. I don't think i will mind being my own children's mother, but I can't mother the lost souls of the world that my husband brings home. I don't get off on that.

To each his/her own. When I worked at fashion bug way back when, one of the wackos I worked with would always say that. She would follow it by "it takes all kinds". Which it does. But I, a person who can not stop my mind from spinning to grasp on to the whys of peoples actions never could truely swallow this wisdom. It wasn't until many many (gasp maybe 10) years later that I truly could appreciate this. So fly little birdy fly...far far away from me...and take your mess with you.

Well, I am off today...got plenty to do, and I am hoping to get it done with out too much involvement or derailment from other people. The house is so calm with Sofie and I...
