Quote of the Day
My family pride is something inconceivable.
I can't help it. I was born sneering.
~Gilbert, W. S.
I have fought a good fight.
I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Quote of the Day
This Quote in The Godfather always makes me chuckle a little bit. The kind of chuckle that you do to yourself while you nod your head, because it is just so true...for everyone.

Kennedy's In Vanity Fair Magazine
I was at the drugstore last night and saw the new Vanity Fair Magazine with Jack and Jackie on the cover. It's amazing to me after 40+ years their picture can still sell magazines.
Of course I had to buy it.On Vanity Fair's Website they have archive photos and articles of the Kennedys, which I found very interesting, of course.

Here's An Easy One
Witch's Curtain
Lay a heavy-duty black garbage bag flat on a work surface, open end toward you. With scissors, cut 1 1/2-inch vertical strips from the bottom, stopping a few inches from the top. Cut open one side seam, then unfold bag. Use masking tape or tacks to hang. Then, with hands a few inches apart, grasp each strand and pull; stretch strands in several places for a decrepit effect.
Such a cute idea, especially if you have a front porch, as I do....hmmm...

Cheesecloth Ghosts
I found this great way to make ghosts for Halloween from Martha. The lady that lived behind us made us a whole group of these (but smaller) and my mom displayed them for years in our home. I would love to do this. Except Steve would probably scream at me! I might be done decorating now...maybe... ~he he.
Cheesecloth Ghost How-To1. Cut several 1/2-inch-deep slits into one end of a cardboard cylinder, such as paper-towel tube; fan flaps out and tape to work surface so tube stands upright. Near top of tube, make a small hole on each side; push a wire (of about the same length as the cylinder) through holes. Bend wire into outstretched arms. Top cylinder with a crumpled aluminum-foil ball, for the head.
2. Cut cheesecloth into strips (about six per ghost). Saturate the strips in liquid starch and drape over mold in various directions to cover completely. When cheesecloth dries, carefully lift ghost off mold.

It’s Mariah’s house
If I had to choose 1 Celebrity house to live in based on my own style choices, it would be Mariah Carey's house. I just got my Glamour Magazine last week, and wish there were more pics of her home online to share. But if you really want to see it, pick up the mag. its well worth it!
PS. That's her closet!

Last Night
I went to my reunion last night and it was a great expierence and I had a great time. I was really on the fense about it, but it was well worth going. I enjoyed talking with everyone and everyone was really nice and just happy to see everyone. And that was great, noone held any bad feelings or ill will, and I think everyone that was like that didn't even show. Noone wants pouty, unhappy, bitter people at the reunion. I will definatley go to the next one!

Tonight
My Reunion is tonight. I don't know yet if I'm going. I do know this, I'm not eating or drinking a thing today, getting my hair cut, and might possibly be going shopping...I don't know if I'll have time!
Why I am putting myself though such torture when I could just go have a nice fun dinner with some new friends I've made, instead of drugging up old memories from 10+ years ago I don't know. But I kinda feel compelled. As if this is a part of maturing that I have to expierence. And there must be some people there I would like to see, right?

Great Article About Love
I found this great article By Lisa Kogan via another blog.
"I believe in love. I believe it transforms, transports and transcends. I believe it fine-tunes goodness, solidifies strength, ripens resolve, eradicates rage, alleviates stress and elevates empathy."

What Type of Style Hound Are You?
What does your design style say about who you are … as a dog!? Answer these 11 questions to find out what breed you'd be based on how you've decorated your home!
Take this quiz at HGTV.com
My ResultsA Designer Breed! (a labradoodle, a schnoodle, a pugapoo, etc.)
Although some may say you are just a mutt, you know you are more exotic (and expensive) than that — and worth every penny! You have a hip sense of design style. You know the trends before they are trends, and your house reflects this with its beautiful lines and awe-inspiring spaces. You are a rock star. You know the edge of edgy and are content to sit there, poised with the latest hipster cocktail, looking gorgeous on your sleek sofa — and hardly ever shedding.

Our Sunday Outing
I love sundays.
I love sundays because Steve is home all day and we can do whatever we want to together. Yesterday we did what I wanted to do, and we went to Pattersons with Sofie and got pumpkins and cornstalks and Apple Cider. We had sooo much fun watching sofie interact with everyone. She loved all the attention that people gave her. Everyone came up to her and petted her and she was so good with children. I hardly had to think to worry. She was just so fun to be with.
It was hot out and we struggled to get the cornstalks, 3 large pumpkins, 4 little pumpkins, and sofie's box in the back of the Xtera. But we laughed all the way home, recounting Sofie and Steve's expierence with a curious fat lady who thought Steve was saying "Benton Terrier from Tibet".
It was a great day. I'll have to post pics of the front porch that we decorated together, later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I want to be your friend forever and ever without break or decay.
when the hills are all flat and the rivers are all dry,
when it lightens and thunders in winter,
when it rains and snows in summer,
heaven and earth mingle...
not then will i part from you.
My Big Girl Dog
My baby went to "Paps and Nan's" and she came back a BIG GIRL.
Translation: My parents baby sat Sofie last night so Steve and I could go with his brother Sam and his wife JoAnn to the Indians vs Yankee's Game!!!!!! But today my little Sofie is acting like a big girl dog. She must be learning alot over there from her big sister Diva. Either that or she is still tired from all the playing.The game was awesome. We had the best seats right in line with 3rd base and we were in row "y". So we could see everything. We bought blue and red baseball caps (2 for 30 bucks -not bad) and hot dogs and beer and cracker jack. We yelled and screamed and I even got some Taiwanese (Wang) Yankee fans to leave early! -I'm so proud of myself.-
